new solidarity›› forum
This is where members decide how we use our collective resources to make a difference. The New Solidarity forum will establish a fund over which it has collective control, and use this in whatever way(s) it sees fit. It will also seek volunteer workers who can make time and energy available for solidarity work of various kinds.
Solidarity may involve sending volunteer nurses to Kashmir, or financing the construction of temporary shelters in Bangladesh, or providing day care facilities in DR Congo. But whatever we decide to do, new unionism» assures you that the process will be transparent. All donations will be receipted, and all expenses formally accounted for. No money given to the new solidarity fund will be used for any kind of administration or other purposes. And, perhaps most important of all, we will insist on building a concrete record of how the money is spent, so that we can see what we have achieved.
From time to time we may receive requests for project support which relates directly to union-building or strike support. Any such requests will be vetted and vouched for by local members of the network (and others, if necessary) before they are submitted for discussion in the forum. To join the forum, click here.

making a difference
Does solidarity make a difference? Once the fund has been set up and the first donations made, a table will be set out below and will be used to itemise each and every concrete result which comes from your solidarity donations. You will be able to see for yourself what we have achieved. You will be able to see how much has been donated to the fund, and further details on projects will be available in a special section of our Online Library here.
